What CMOR
Clients are Saying:
"CMOR
is masterful at extracting statistical evidence of public opinion and
interpreting data in a manner that applies to our agency's needs. Our
DD board has used their research to build public opinion ratings and
adjust our position in the market. Their focus groups and surveys
provided the insight required to knowledgeably and successfully pursue
continued levy funding from the county's taxpayers. Their reports
made it clear what the voters would support."

McGee, Senior Director of Marketing and PR, County of Summit Board of DD

Happy
Halloween! At CMOR, we love numbers. In the
spirit of Halloween, here are a few interesting statistics that we
found about one of our favorite holidays:
1. 41
million- the number of children ages 5 to 14 who went trick or
treating last year.
2. 1.1
billion pounds- 2010 pumpkin production by
major pumpkin producing states.
3. 24.7
pounds- the average number of pounds of candy each American
consumed in 2010.
In CMOR Team
news, October has been a month of change. Our Office Manager, Laura,
left to focus on her education full-time. We were sad to see Laura go,
but are excited to welcome Nicole Galloway to our team as our new
office manager. In other team news, we are excited to announce the
expansion of our professional staff in recent weeks. Charles Labelle
has joined our team as our new Call Center Manager and Sue Tobias is
our new Research Manager.
These are just some of the things that have been
happening at CMOR. If you need answers to your most important
questions, CMOR can help.

Case Study: Summit DD Levy
Research
CMOR
works closely with The County of Summit Board of Developmental
Disabilities (Summit DD) on measuring the attitudes and needs of the
agency's key stakeholders. These stakeholders include the people they
serve, their parents and guardians, Summit DD employers, and the Summit
County Community.
Summit
DD will be placing a levy on the November 2011 ballot. CMOR has been
working with Summit DD since last spring in conducting research and
analyzing data to help Summit DD successfully pass the levy. The
research CMOR conducted included:
- A
series of questions to measure levy support were included on 2010
and 2011 Summit Poll. The Summit Poll also measured agency
perception and awareness.
- A
telephone survey in the fall of 2010 of 800 registered voters.
This survey not only measured support for the levy and perception
of the agency, it also identified the information that Summit
County voters wanted to know about the levy.
- Focus
groups- before the levy marketing campaign was rolled out, we
conducted a series of focus groups of undecided voters to see what
they thought about the materials and messaging.
- Data
Modeling- we used data from the telephone surveys as well as past
election data from the Board of Elections to develop a model of
support and likelihood to vote. The model was used to assign a 'Likelihood
to Vote', 'Likelihood to Support', and 'Likelihood to be
Undecided' to each voter on the voter registration list so that
messaging can be targeted and thus more effective.
If
you live in Summit County, please
support Issue 25. Summit DD is a great organization
that betters the lives of those with developmental disabilities in the
community. You can learn more about Issue 25 here.
